Special interest areas
I offer EMDR psychotherapy. I use this therapy as standalone approach or in conjunction with other therapies. EMDR therapy can help people to recover from the symptoms and emotional distresses that are the result of adverse life experiences. It is a very effective therapy and benefits anyone feeling stressed or not functioning at their best. It is especially helpful for people who have experienced trauma or disturbing life experiences for example, bullying, crime victims, phobias, self-esteem issues, addiction, abuse, anxiety, depression, panic, accidents or PTSD..
Personal Statement
We can all lose sight of who we really are and what we want from life. Counselling can provide an opportunity to explore and make sense of your experiences, thoughts and feelings so you can reconnect with your inner resources to live life more fully. I offer a space to share whatever is on your mind knowing you will be met with warmth and acceptance. I have a strong background of managing mental health services for over 25 years and extensive experience of a wide range of issues. I’ve worked as a Service Manager in IAPT NHS counselling services, private practice and counselling charities. I am an accredited member of the BACP, a trained EMDR therapist and member of the EMDR UK Association.
