Special interest areas
I am an experienced practitioner with 2 decades or Rich clinical experience, having worked within NHS mental health settings, sexual violence trauma services, alongside work within universities. I have undertaken specialist training and work with clients who are neurodivergent, helping them identify needs and develop healthier coping strategies. I welcome clients from LGBTQ Community and have both lived and clinical experience working with issues and challenges minority communities face. I incorporate some mindfulness techniques into my practice to help clients develop the skills to regulate their emotions and learn to manage anxiety, stress and depression. .
Personal Statement
I consider myself a warm relatable therapist working in non judgemental way to help clients gain insights into themselves. I hope to empower clients to understand some of their difficulties and ways of being able to manage their emotional responses. I offer an initial appointment where we talk about your reasons for seeking counselling and how we could best work together to support you. We review our work regularly and look at anything that may be causing a struggle.
