Personal Statement

I strongly believe that counselling therapy can help with whatever issues and problems you are currently struggling with. My aim as your therapist is to help and support you to reconnect with your true-self. As an integrative relational therapist, I believe that it is the relationship between the client and the therapist, which is the key to growth and healing. Together we will use the sessions at your pace to work through your issues in a safe and supportive environment. I will use a range of therapeutic techniques to ensure that your sessions are tailored to your needs. Different people seek counselling for different reasons. You may be feeling traumatised, lonely and distressed about your past, thoughts, feelings, relationships and behaviour. You may have experienced a difficult childhood, a life-changing events such as bereavement, other relationship loss, employment loss or any other events which might have left your life compromised and feeling stuck. It might be relationship issues with families or friends which might be distressful and overwhelming resulting in you making unhealth decisions and going in circles with no hope for the future. Our work together is datamined by your needs and that can be open ended or time limited, whilst I offer you a safe, supportive, calm and non-judgemental space where you can feel truly understood. I believe that it is the relationship between the client and the therapist, which is the key to growth and positive change. I bring an attachment focus to all my work and believe our early relationships influence our relationships with self and others throughout our life.
