I would really like to help you with whatever you are going through at the moment. I am experienced in working with adults, children, adolescents and parents. I’m trained in a range of therapies; person centred, psychodynamic, solution focused therapy and CBT, but also many creative therapies such as Jungian Kalffian Sandplay, the emotional freedom technique and various drawing therapy techniques. I’m specially trained in Webster Stratton parenting support and as a Barnardo’s link counsellor which means that I’m qualified to work with all aspects of attachment and adoption..
I hope to provide a warm comfortable and accepting space for clients and I like to offer a variety of techniques to enable you to find the ways of working best suited to you.
In the first session we would discuss your present concerns, some information about your past and your life in general and then discuss how we might best work on these. Some techniques, especially the creative ones require less talking around the difficulty which some people find more comfortable and while we are exploring any areas in depth, I like to suggest practical techniques in most sessions to help you achieve a feeling of moving forward.
