Personal Statement

In my practice, I first like to understand "what happened to you?" so that I can hear your story and you can feel validated that the way you feel makes sense based on what you have been through. We will then take time to understand "how you adapted to get by?". Often, we have to adapt a new way of being to be ok in our challenges. Over time these ways of being can stop us from living a full life in the here and now. Maybe in troubling times you had to disconnect from your emotions and now it is difficult to know yourself without them. Or maybe you learnt to be busy in emotionally hard times but this approach how now become exhausting. After understanding what happened to you and what you had to do to be ok. I will work with you to understand what your unmet needs are.
