Personal Statement
My therapeutic foundation is rooted in the person-centred approach, where the relationship, genuine understanding, and the client feeling heard and accepted are paramount. I am a certified Schema Therapist (ISST) and specialise in helping clients work through adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) to help them facilitate healthy change to their pattern of behaviour adulthood.
My training in Motivational Interviewing enables me to support clients in identifying and working toward their own personal goals in therapy. During initial sessions, I carefully assess which approach will be most helpful — whether that’s offering a safe, empathetic space to be heard, or a more structured, goal-oriented approach such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I have extensive experience working with individuals with trauma backgrounds, anxiety-related challenges, autism-related issues, and low mood. I draw from evidence-based modalities including:
Each client is unique, and I aim to remain flexible and responsive in my work. I tailor interventions to suit the individual's needs, always working collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes.
