Special interest areas
I am happy to work with the issues surrounding those listed, but am not limited to these so please feel open to exploring your difficulty with me. I also run mindfulness based pain & stress management classes and work with trauma related to bereavement and palliative care, infant and child loss, and sexual trauma. My specialist area is neurodivergence. I identify as neurodivergent, within a neurodivergent household. I supervise therapists who work with neurodivergent people and otherwise. Within my own practice I deliver therapeutic support via counselling, psychotherapy and wellbeing practices to adults, children, young people and families wanting support. I also deliver Mindfulness programmes adapted for those who identify as neurodivergent and specialist training to workplaces to support awareness and inclusion of the neurodivergent population. .
Personal Statement
Let's get connected and see how I maybe able to help. Sometimes we need to be heard, understood and supported. Other times we need support to find solutions, coaching and a more direct focus. What if we need both of these things together at different stages? This is where integrating my approach has helped many people find a way forward through difficult times. I have worked as a therapist for many years in Education, Health and Social Care services, including universities, schools, NHS maternity services, sexual trauma centres, family support and palliative care and bereavement services. I fully understand how life's transitions often bring a sense of instability and sometimes we all need someone to listen, understand and offer a professional and emotionally supportive service. We are only human after all.
