Personal Statement

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist. This is a form of therapy that enables a client to make changes to their present experience or problem, by increasing their awareness of unconscious beliefs about themselves and others. The client's narrative of past experiences is often helpful in increasing a client's understanding of their current experience.

A basic part of my work with clients is ensuring that they feel as safe as possible and we start a good therapeutic relationship from the start. Clients can expect to have the therapeutic contract clearly explained, are encouraged to ask they might have about therapy and are invited to voice their expectations.
