Special interest areas

I like to work with people who have lost their confidence and possibly feel overwhelmed in their lives, whether this is via anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma or something else. I have experience working with ADHD and ASD both in my personal and work life and understand the challenges it can bring not only with having the diagnosis itself but also understanding what that means and being able to manage in everyday settings which can make you feel different. This maybe social settings or feeling disorganised in the workplace. My ethos is enabling confidence with that person so that they can work with their neuro-diversity and not against it. I also have a lot of experience working with PTSD and CPTSD as well as bereavement, anxiety and low mood. I currently work with Xyla Digital Therapies and Lancashire Women as well as within my private practice and am able to give practical solutions as well as emotional support in finding methods that work for you..

Personal Statement

As an integrative therapist I tailor my methods to suit each individual but most importantly I believe the relationship in therapy is vital. You need to feel safe, unjudged and supported by me because without this the therapy will not be as effective. During the first session I will endeavor to give an oversight into how I will work with you and what methods I will use. We will look at your therapy goals and aim to achieve these within the allocated sessions. Therapy with me will be a space to explore difficult issues while being supported to do so, and depending on the individual we can be practical or creative as is comfortable.
