Special interest areas

I have experience and knowledge to work well with anxiety, stress and depression. My other area of experience is grief, loss and bereavement, be that losing a loved one, your pet, identity, career, relationship etc. More recently, I have also enjoyed working with neuro divergence in the therapy room, having become interested in this area since my own dyslexia diagnosis. Before working as a Therapist I supported young adults at University with ND and also adults entering the workplace for the first time with a ND diagnosis. This experience taught me to be more aware of our differences and unique ways of being that can bring a wonderful diversity to our lives and also sometimes some real struggles that we need to attend to with care, and without judgement..

Personal Statement

In the first session, we will discuss your goals and we will review them as we go along. We may explore what might be holding you back and discover new ways of living that are more in line with your wishes.

I will respect your view-point while supporting you to deal with specific problems, cope with crises, improve your relationships, or develop easier ways of living. I aim to support my clients with life’s struggles and their side effects: stress, anxiety and depression etc.

I work as an ‘integrative’ counsellor, so I draw on and blend different types of therapy; for example Transactional Analysis, Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  I always respect your right to choose your own direction in life and aim to allow you to become an expert on who you are by becoming more aware of the feelings and thoughts that are happening inside of you.
